40MHz and 80MHz Control Channels. 04-22-2022 11:08 PM. I'm confused by how Meraki specifies the control channel frequency for 40 and 80MHz channels. The web UI and the API only allow selection of 20MHz-width 5GHz channels, and then the wider channel that overlaps that 20MHz channel is used if the operating width is greater than 20MHz.

There's no 20Mhz on 5Ghz ac and the link/PHY on 40Mhz should be no higher than 400Mbps. You're right though, 80Mhz will produce a large stutter but it's completely the Quests fault, not Virtual Desktop's. Interference comes in 2 varieties; Wi-Fi and non-Wi-Fi. The congestion in 2.4GHz range caused taking 5GHz channels in use in the first place.
